Web Arter is an independent guide to creative coding & web art — the practice of making images, animations, and interactive work with code. We map the tools, the techniques, and the communities where algorithms become art, from a single p5.js sketch to a full GPU shader.

We focus on the intersection of technology and artistic expression: generative art, creative-coding environments, digital painting and design tools, AI image generation, and the shaders and systems that drive real-time visuals. Web Arter is part of the WholeTech Network — a collection of independent sites, each devoted to a single subject and built as a clean, useful resource.

Our Approach

Every page is built to be useful, honest, and free from clutter. No pop-ups, no paywalls, no auto-playing video — just clear information presented well. We link generously to the primary tools and communities, because the best way to learn creative coding is to open an editor and hit “run.”

Who Runs This

Web Arter is built and maintained by the WholeTech Network, an Austin, Texas studio that has been making websites since 1996. The network spans a family of focused, independent sites, all running on a single server and curated by hand.
